The Fullerton Arboretum
The Fullerton Arboretum is located on the campus of the California State University Fullerton in Orange County, California, about 30 miles Southeast of downtown Los Angeles. The Arboretum was founded in 1972 with a mission to provide visitors the opportunity to gain knowledge and appreciation of the plant world through collections that preserve and promote stewardship of worldwide plant diversity and regional agricultural heritage. It also serves faculty, students, and the broader community through education and scholarly activities. The Arboretum features woodland, desert, Mediterranean, cultivated collections, a children's garden, plant nursery, heritage house, and the pavilion and museum complex where the Sap Flow Workshop will be held.
Directions: The Fullerton Arboretum is located at 1900 Associated Road in Fullerton, CA, next to the 57 Freeway (exit Yorba Linda Blvd.). It is within easy driving distance from four airports, Los Angeles International (LAX, 37 miles), John Wayne Airport, Orange County (SNA, 17 miles), Ontario (ONT, 28 miles), and Long Beach (LGB, 25 miles). Because conference participants will arrive at different times at different airports we won't be able to offer local transportation for all to the venue or hotel. Transportation from airports should be arranged through private shuttle services (Super Shuttle, Prime Time Shuttle). The ride sharing services Uber and Lyft are also allowed to pick up passengers at all four of these airports. Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions about transportation.
